Community Café - First Wednesdays of the Month
Mark your diary and look out for the reminder boards in the village - A Community Café will be held at the back of the church (and perhaps spilling outside when the weather is good) between 2pm and 4 pm on the first Wednesday of each month.
The aim is to encourage a bit of mingling within and between village groups - primarily the young who are collecting from children from school - and village members - particularly, but not exclusively, the elderly and those who live alone.
Coffee, tea and cakes/biscuits are offered on a complimentary basis, but donations are always welcome. The event is organised by church members and supporters in an effort to promote community spirit and also to increase the footfall into the church building and promote the project to introduce improved facilities (a toilet, catering facilities and improved heating & lighting) into the West End to create an improved community space for the use of the whole village community.
