Family tree research
Hello. I am trying to trace my family tree but have hit a (big) snag on my paternal side - namely my grandfather, John Mackenzie. From records found (only 3!!!) I know he was a soldier, and married my grandmother (Matgaret Barnes), in 1915 at Sutton Veny. Unfortunately I do not know what regiment. Is there a local historian of military, or church, matters who may be able to help me? I am able to visit and assist anyway I can. Thank you in advance.

Sutton Veny had a large number of soldiers stationed here during WW1, and I see that Langham Bishops is in Norfolk.
From this it would seem that neither bride nor groom were local - attempts to ascertain the regiment your grandfather was in might be better directed at military sources. Good luck!
